OSS specialises in supplying technical and consumable stores, supported by our extensive inventory categorized by IMPA in warehouses across Melbourne, Brisbane, and Newcastle. We exclusively provide marine-standard quality supplies along with a comprehensive supply chain solution.
In addition to IMPA categorised marine stores, we do offer bulk purchasing and customised products including ABS-approved pilot/embarkation ladders, marine-grade ropes and other essential equipment specifically tailored to meet the rigorous demands of the maritime industry. Our products are designed for durability and reliability, meeting the most stringent safety and performance standards.
Standard supplies for each department, including:
Technical stores for bulk purchasing and customised products, including:
From the first splice to the final proof load test, every OSS ladder is built in-house under a regime that goes far beyond minimum codes. We meet and deliberately exceed ISO, SOLAS, and the latest IMO guidelines.
Our ladders hold gold standard ABS Type Approval, and our production facilities and technicians meet the high standards for ABS Manufacturing Assessment approval.
By controlling the entire manufacturing process, we guarantee not only the quality and durability of our ladders but also their compliance with safety regulations. This attention to detail reflects our commitment to providing reliable and effective solutions for the maritime industry, ensuring safe access for pilots during embarkation and disembarkation.
Our dedication to excellence ensures that each ladder we produce is built to withstand the rigorous demands of maritime operations while prioritizing safety.
Following an on-site audit of our overseas manufacturing facilities and a thorough review of their R&D data, we can confirm the stringent engineering behind OSS Maritime’s new anti-snap-back mooring rope. Independently certified by ABS and CCS, each line incorporates a secondary 3-strand nylon guard that absorbs recoil, dramatically reducing lash-back risk.
Produced at our specialised plants abroad and stocked throughout our Australian depots, the rope meets safety thresholds more often associated with aviation and defence, delivering dependable performance where lives and assets are on the line.
At OSS Maritime, we specialise in high-performance wire ropes engineered specifically for ships, offshore platforms, and marine operations. Whether it’s anchoring, mooring, towing, or lifting at sea, our marine-grade wire ropes are trusted by vessel operators worldwide for their exceptional durability, corrosion resistance, and reliable performance in harsh maritime environments.
Constructed from high-tensile steel and treated with galvanized or specialised anti-corrosion coatings, our ropes are built to endure the relentless exposure to saltwater, humidity, and extreme marine weather conditions—ensuring dependable performance and a long operational lifespan. Designed to perform under pressure, they offer high load-bearing capacity, fatigue resistance, and superior flexibility, making them ideal for both routine and heavy-duty offshore use.
Thanks to their adaptability, OSS Maritime wire ropes are suitable for a wide range of critical marine applications, including:
Each rope is engineered to meet or exceed international marine and offshore safety standards and can be customized to match vessel’s specific requirements, load profiles, and environmental conditions.

OSS Maritime – Practical UAV Support for Australia’s Ports
Whether it’s Melbourne, Port Kembla or Geelong, every Australian port juggles tight berth windows, strict safety rules and long waterfront distances. Our new UAV programme tackles the congestive points. Rapid aerial sweeps keep wharf roads and lay-down zones clear before a ship ties up; real-time video helps pilots and linesmen monitor bollards and fender lines without climbing ladders and easy drops carry urgent documents, samples or spares straight from quay to deck in minutes. No launch boat or forklift required for a limited payload. Backed by CASA-certified operators and marine-grade data security, the service reduces turnaround times, trims launch costs and frees port teams to focus on cargo. More tech-enabled port tools are in the pipeline, each designed to make Australian ship calls smoother, safer and more economical.
